Shaikhspeare is a renowned rap artist/song- writer from Mumbai. He is also the founder of the award winning hip-hop collective - "Bombay Lokal". He has been making Hip-Hop music since 2008 and so far has made versatile Hip-Hop songs ranging from Hardcore, conscious track to hip-hop bangers. He is best known for his lyricism, punchlines and versatility. As an influential Hip-hop artist, he has been featured on various cultural, entertainment and music based platforms such as Scroll, BBC Asian Network & Rolling stone India.

By featuring in the Bollywood movie “Gully Boy”, and providing rap fillers for the movie “Street Dancer 3D", Shaikhspeare has added more feathers to his cap. With his debut album "Shaikh Them" released in 2019 & with the introduction of his alter ego "Shaikh The Don" ,his musical journey has been on a roll and the outcome has been some outstanding collaborations and songs released both independently and through record label such as Sony music.
Currently he is working on his EP and sophomore album which will be dropping sooner.

His new drop "Chalne De" is a track that talks about being progressive regardless of the changed time or people. Set up on a bouncy trap instrumental, the hard-hitting Hindi lyrics laced with Mumbai slang makes it a song that can make the new age hip-hop listeners groove to it and play on repeat.
